賀瑋玲 Weiling He

Being the first project in an introductory design studio, students are invited to experiment with abstraction, composition, and the notion of space. In order to help the students shift from the focus of nameable objects to spatial relationships, the project is composed of a sequence of operations and explorations, such as abstracting digital photos into black and white compositions that transform into a surface composition derived from the folding strategy.
