Fascade Depth

2006, 2005

To use charcoal drawing as a representation tool and to explore variations in charcoal rendering techniques. Study the façade of basilica and use charcoal to represent the proportion and the depth of space. Each student draws one bay of the facade in three pieces of 18” by 24” paper. The work of the class composes the whole. This project won the Jury’s Choice Award at the Exhibition of the Bi-annual Meeting of the Design Communication Association, Ball State University, Indiana.

Work Credits: Yujung Jang, Tina Chanady, Ann Frankovich, David Seifert, Chad Garven, and Career Change Class of 2006.
