Light Echo & Light Echo II

2016

Light Echo and Light Echo II are a sequel of interactive screens that responds to viewers' proximity. Made from Recycled milk jugs and embedded sensors and LED lights, the piece intended more than a static object of decoration. Instead, a viewer's relative distance and his/her duration of stay triggers the sensors which determines the color in which LED lights shine. Such engagement seems to propose that only when recycled art reintegrates in our everyday lift is it truly recycled.
